McLaren CEO Martin Whitmarsh insists the team will not hurry the decision over who it signs to team-up with Lewis Hamilton in 2008.

The McLaren team has said it is in no hurry to sign a replacement for Fernando Alonso. Alonso and McLaren agreed last week it was better for the both of them to go their own ways and thus the Woking based team is on the lookout for a new driver.

Nico will not be sold to McLaren at any price claim the team's top brass as speculation grows over the identity of Lewis Hamilton's 2008 team-mate.

The Williams Formula 1 team has warned the McLaren team it will not let go of the team's driver Nico Rosberg in order for Rosberg to replace Fernando Alonso at the Woking based team. McLaren is currently searching for a replacement and Rosberg was mentioned by Hamilton as one of the drivers he would prefer to see as a team-mate.
