Plans have been announced for the filming of a Bruce McLaren feature in New Zealand. During the A1 Grand Prix event running at the Taupo circuit this weekend, McLaren's widow and daughter announced the plans flanked by government minister Jim Anderton and Emerson Fittipaldi, Sir Jack Brabham and some former McLaren Racing directors.

Renault concluded its first test of the 2007 season at the Circuito de Jerez in southern Spain on Friday. The three-day private test, preceded by a new car shakedown day, saw the new R27 makes it on-track debut in anger as the team begins preparations for the new season, which begins in just two months' time. Uniquely, the team was equipped to run with two examples of the new car from the very first test, in order to maximise mileage, find faults and begin assessing the dynamic characteristics of the new machine.

Takuma Sato was in good spirits after Super Aguri completed its first major test of 2006 at Jerez. The team covered over 1,600km during the three days.
