Sebastien Bourdais was mainly found in the back of the field but managed to get the right race strategy and set-up for his STR4. The Frenchman might have even scored some points if he started further up the grid and was clearly pleased with his Bahrain Grand Prix performance.

Lewis Hamilton was both relieved and satisfied to finish fourth and take five points away from the Bahrain Grand Prix. Ironically, the McLaren driver enjoyed a better race at Sakhir this year than in his title-winning season and, despite not achieving his target of a podium result, was happy to finish in a comfortable fourth place.
