Takuma Sato has been given a grid penalty after passing under a yellow flag during the American Grand Prix. The Super Aguri driver will now have to drop ten places on the grid for the next race in Magny Cours on 1 July.

Lewis Hamilton was delighted with his second win at Indianapolis after driving a faultless race.  The 22-year-old also said that there was no animosity between himself and his team-mate after a close scrap between the two on lap 39.

McLaren boss Ron Dennis has again played down Fernando Alonso's pre-Indy comments.

Lewis Hamilton won his second grand prix in as many races as he led Fernando Alonso to a dominant McLaren one-two at the American Grand Prix. The 22-year-old drove a faultless race as Alonso could do nothing to stop his team-mate from winning. Hamilton is now ten points clear of the Spaniard in the standings. Felipe Massa completed the podium trio.

Major shareholder Gerhard Berger has said that he brushes off perpetual speculation that the Toro Rosso team is to be sold. The Faenza-based team is part owned by the former grand prix driver and by Red Bull but rumours persist that the two parties are looking to sell their respective shares. However, the former Ferrari and Benetton driver says that these claims are unfounded.
