Pedro de la Rosa is both hoping and expecting to see more overtaking in this year's Spanish Grand Prix in comparison to past races there. The Circuit de Catalunya presents few overtaking opportunities, particularly due to the fact that most off-season testing is done at the Catalan venue which means that teams and drivers know it well.

Max Mosley has said that a budget cap plan for Formula One has been looked at in Paris with a view to introducing the system as of next season. Original proposals suggested that competitors would be limited to spending no more than £30 million per season although the FIA president has now revealed that this amount has risen.

A positive Max Mosley was keen to put the 'liegate' issue behind and move on following a successful meeting between the FIA and McLaren on Wednesday. The team was handed with a suspended three-race ban for their part in the saga, although Mosley was quick to express that the relationship between the two parties has vastly improved, with an exciting season looking to continue.

Bernie Ecclestone is satisfied with the result of Wednesday's hearing in Paris between Formula One governing body the FIA and the McLaren team. The final part of 'liegate' ended with the British team receiving a postponed three-race ban which will be cancelled if no similar incident involving the team takes place between now and the end of April 2010.

The British government and Peter Mandelson have spoken over the matter concerning the country's Grand Prix. Due to leave Silverstone after this year, Donington Park is scheduled to be hosting the race for a decade from 2010 although, with financial worries raised, the government is now calling for a possible return to Silverstone.
