Jarno Trulli finished Friday practice seventh overall while Toyota team mate Timo Glock enjoyed a competitive day ending up in twelfth.
Williams' Kazuki Nakajima and Nico Rosberg closed Friday's free practice sessions for the Turkish Grand Prix in 8th and 13th places respectively, using the track time available to evaluate set-up direction. Running was somewhat restricted today, a result of Istanbul's cooler May conditions and a damp track at the start of both sessions.
Renault Team began its preparations for the Turkish Grand Prix today as both Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet completed trouble-free practice sessions. Track conditions were poor with low temperatures contributing towards a low-grip surface and a lunchtime rain shower giving a damp start for the afternoon session. Despite this the team was able to complete a productive day's work to leave the team hopeful of a competitive performance in tomorrow's qualifying session.
The Toro Rossos of Sebastian Vettel and Sebastien Bourdais were encouraged, but looking for more pace in Turkey after they finished free practice seventeenth and eighteenth overall.
Honda worked through a detailed set-up programme with both RA108 cars, honing the aerodynamic package to the demands of the 5.338km track. They ran reliably throughout the two 1.5-hour sessions, providing Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello with a good baseline from which to progress through the remainder of the race weekend.
