The Force India F1 team have confirmed the deal to form a technical partnership with McLaren Mercedes for 2009. The Silverstone based team has signed a multi-year contract with McLaren that will see the VJM02 powered by Mercedes engines, KERS system, gearbox and hydraulic systems.

Following several weeks of preparation in close collaboration with Renault India, the ING Renault F1 Team was on the streets of the Indian capital this weekend for a special demonstration with recently confirmed 2009 driver, Nelson Piquet, and compatriot, Lucas Di Grassi, the team's third driver.

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo smashed his television when Lewis Hamilton overtook Timo Glock in the final corner to finish the Brazilian Grand Prix in fifth position and win the Formula 1 championship title.
