Sometimes the reactions that one has at difficult times say more about human nature than those experienced when things are going well. On Sunday at Suzuka, Michael Schumacher lived a disappointing episode but, nonetheless, the seven time champion showed his mettle in fully supporting his team.

Pedro de la Rosa had a difficult race at Suzuka on Sunday. The Spaniard, who scored 18 points in his seven races for McLaren, had to start from 13th and finished in 11th - not even close to scoring a point. The Spaniard hopes he can prove himself at Jerez this week to secure his seat for the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner has promised that next years RB3 car will be a major step forward from the current RB2 after its performance came in for criticism from lead driver David Coulthard at Suzuka.

Ferrari team boss Jean Todt admitted that it wasn't easy to take the Japanese Grand Prix disappointment at this stage of the season but seemed philosophical as he said that in F1 you need to be able to accept both success and failure.

The organisers of the 2006 Turkish Grand Prix have lodged an appeal against the the fine they were given by the FIA in September. The Turkish Grand Prix organisers were fined five million dollar following their controversial podium ceremony.
