Brazil GP: Friday Press Conference
Ernesto Viso thoroughly enjoyed his first outing at a Formula One Grand Prix with the Spyker MF1 team and hopes it's just the start of things to come. The 21-year-old finished up sixth in the GP2 Championship this year picking up two wins with the iSport International team, to which Frank Williams' son Jonathan is an adviser.
Spyker MF1 enjoyed a promising start to the team's final Grand Prix weekend of the season. Tiago Monteiro was the fastest of the three drivers running for the team with a 1:14.468s, whilst Ernesto Viso also showed potential despite a few spins, setting a best time of just half a second slower than the Portuguese racer. Christijan Albers was also happy with the progress he made with tyre evaluation.
Michael Schumacher insists that Brazil is just another race for him once he gets behind the wheel of the car.
Toro Rosso's three drivers struggled to set any kind of competitive times on Friday and found progress to be as slow as their pace. Their highest placed driver was Vitantonio Liuzzi in 25th but he was still more than three seconds off Wurz's best lap. The drivers are already predicting a disappointing end to the team's first season in Formula One.
Justin Wilson is out of the Champ Car Series for the rest of the year, having broken a bone in his wrist in qualifying for the race in Surfers Paradise. Wilson suffered the injury when he spun into a tyre barrier and the impact went up through his steering.
