WilliamsF1 confirms Nakajima as test driver
Kazuki Nakajima, the son of former Grand Prix driver Satoru Nakajima, joins the Williams team.
WilliamsF1 has announced that Toyota protege Kazuki Nakajima, the 21 year old son of Japan's first regular F1 driver Satoru Nakajima, will be one of its test drivers in 2007. The 21-year-old is currently racing in the Formula 3 Eurocup but hopes to one day folow his father's footsteps into F1.
Williams has signed Japan's Kazuki Nakajima as an official test driver.
The 21-year-old is a member of Toyota's young driver programme and the son of former F1 racer Satoru Nakajima.
The WilliamsF1 team today announced that it has appointed Kazuki Nakajima as the team's test driver for the upcoming season. Nakajima will work alongside Williams' other test driver Narain Karthikeyan.
Team Ireland discovers 'problem' with car
Bobby Rahal has signed up veteran Indycar racer Scott Sharp to lead his IRL team in 2007. Sharp moves to Rahal Letterman Racing from Fernandez Racing. Sharp will bring backing from the Las Vegas-based Patron Tequila company, the world's number one ultra premium tequila.
