2007 Ferrari to make Jerez debut?
The Toyota F1 team was back on track for the second day on Wednesday. Their drivers Jarno Trulli and Franck Montagny covered the miles. Next season's Bridgestone tyres were again the focus of the day's work and Jarno Trulli got his first taste of the new rubber at Jerez.
There are currently only three seats available in Formula 1. The Toro Rosso team has yet to confirm their two drivers and at Spyker F1 there is one seat available. According to Spyker F1 team boss Colin Kolles an announcement can be expected very soon.
Ferrari chiefs have warned Kimi Raikkonen that he must not get up to too much mischief off the track next year. Raikkonen was the subject of much tabloid rumour for his hard-party antics in the past year.
The final Formula One test session of 2006 began in Jerez this morning with ten of the eleven F1 teams in action.
Scott Speed, the only American driver in Formula 1, will replace injured NASCAR cahmpion Jimmie Johnson in the Race of Champions on Saturday in Paris. Johnson suffered a broken left wrist when he fell off the roof of a golf cart while horsing about in Florida.
