The 2006 FIA Formula One World Championship wraps up this weekend at the Interlagos circuit, Sao Paulo (Brazil). Bridgestone-shod Ferrari and Michael Schumacher have taken the title fights right down to the wire. The Brazilian Grand Prix will also be the final battle between Bridgestone and Michelin before the Japanese company becomes the sole F1 tyre supplier next season.
F1 teams will not be allowed to run three cars at Grand Prix practice sessions from next season, the FIA announced on Wednesday. Third drivers, however will still have their time in the spotlight in a revised weekend timetable.
The World Motor Sport Council met in Barcelona on Wednesday and said there was no agreement for an eighteenth race in the 2007 Formula 1 calendar. That means Formula One will most likely not return to Imola next season.

F1's rule-makers have moved to make GP Fridays' more fan-friendly with a raft of rule changes for 2007.
