The three time champ car champion will be moving to Formula one.

Sebastien has been trying to break into Formula One for some time now and it looked as though that dream was never going to come true for the frustrated driver.

Bourdais will be driving for Toro Rosso with Sebastien Vettel as his team mate. It will be interesting to see how the french man does in the unique world of F1 Grand Prix.

Is he a big step closer to moving to the top rung of the motor-sport ladder? It would seem that the answer to that would be yes according to the Toro Rosso team who revealed today that they have an option on the Champ Car driver.

Bourdais has tested some three times for the Toro Rosso team but each time seemed to get him no closer to his F1 dreams. All indications were that he had all but given up on ever getting the interest of any F1 team. The Toro Rosso option expires at the end of the month so in no more than 11 days we will find out if Sebastien Bourdais gets his Cinderella moment.

Anyone here think he is up to the challenge of F1?
