Slicks Returning to F1 in 2009
December 10th, 2007I have only one thing to say about the return of slick tires in F1. Yes!
It’s always seemed to me a bit odd to have such a single purpose machine as an F1 race car forced to run on grooved tires. Three cheers for the return of slick tires to F1.
Bring back slick tires, get rid of traction control and drivers aids, go back to manual shifting and then maybe we’ll be back to seeing who are the really skilled drivers.

Finally! The banning of slicks must have been one of the more stupid moves in recent history. Slicks is racing for real, grooved tyres are for sunday driving in the countryside.
Manual gears???? They still have to move their hands its not full auto
