Ferrari Cheating?
March 19th, 2007An interesting article over at SPEEDtv.com where McLaren boss Ron Dennis is suggesting that the new Ferrari may have some illegal aerodynamic features that are outside the rules. Specifically he is claiming that the new Ferrari has a mechanism that allows the front of the floor to drop at speed which would give it an advantage.
Ron Dennis says that this would be clearly outside the rules. It would seem that people noticed a rather complex arrangement with regards to the floor mounts on the Ferrari and this has caused some people to become concerned.
Ferrari says if people have a complaint the should talk to the FIA.
I can’t wait to see how this turns out.

This is so typical. The boys in red makes a killing and everyone is jumping up and down. Just ’cause the Ferrari team has a brilliant car, does not mean they are cheating. By all means……. Investigate every aspect of the allegations, see that it’s all hot air >. Let’s enjoy what should be one of the most spectacular years in F1.
That is very true Frank. What would F1 be without lots of finger pointing and claims of rule bending. Last year it was Renault and the mass damper, this year who knows?
I only wish it had been anyone else but that cry baby Ron Dennis who pointed out the problem. Whatever the validity of the claim, if Ron makes it, it comes across as sour grapes. Can someone, anyone, make this guy leave the sport?
