Without a doubt this is the finest example of why I fell in love with Formula One. This is an amazing video of how great formula one racing used to be. You just don’t see this kind of racing in todays Formula One races. These guys were serious heros of the track!
Frank Williams is still talking about legal challenges to the whole customer chassis issue. It seems Williams feels that they should not be permitted even in 2008 and claims that it violates the Concorde Agreement.
I can see his point about the costs of developing your own car vs. buying a customer chassis but I thought the point was to be the best in F1. If you can do that buying a customer chassis for less than it costs you to build your own then I assume Williams could do the same.
Jenson Button lacks the spark that makes a world champion according to Mike Gascoyne, Spyker’s technical boss. Gascoyne points out that Button, in his seven seasons of Formula One has won only a single race.
Is it because Jenson has never had the car under him and the team behind him to get to the podium or is Mr. Gascoyne correct that he just lacks that extra spark that makes a champion?
So what is it folks? Lack of Skill or Spark on Jenson Buttons part or has he just been let down over the years by his teams?
Jacques Villeneuve is releasing his first album entitled “Private Paradise” on the 19th of Feb in Montreal. Described as an acoustic-rock experience, it features 9 english tracks and four french tracks. Some of the tracks were written by jacques and some by his friends.
Lewis Hamilton was fastest on the track for the last day of testing in Valencia. Almost 7 tenths of a second faster than his closest rival Kimi Raikkonen in the Ferrari.
After running for 112 laps his best lap time was 1m11.119s keeping him on the top of the heap.
It continues to look good for the McLaren package but as always we won’t really have a good idea of how the teams compare until the first race.
