F1 Racing At Night!
February 15th, 2007It looks like the F1 machine may be moving toward some night racing. According to Hermann Tilke, F1 track designer, there is no reason why it can’t be done. He says that the biggest problem is lighting and more specifically lighting that is bright enough for the TV cameras. TV cameras need fairly bright lights to give a good quality picture, especially where fast moving things like Formula One cars are concerned. The camera and lighting technologies have advanced a fair amount over the last few years and it looks like it is to the point where an F1 race at night might just be possible.
Personally, I would love to see a night F1 race! What do you folks thing? Is an F1 race at night something you would like to see?
