Flavio says that despite having the 2006 champion Fernando Alonso and young speedster Lewis Hamilton, McLaren is in for another tough year.

Flavio says that McLaren often has great drivers, like Kimi Raikkonen last year, but their book of excuses has run out of pages. It seems to me that Flavio is full of hot air here.
He is also saying that Ferrari will do badly because they have lost Schumacher and Brawn. He might be closer to the mark on that one.
As always though, the real proof is on the track and the day of the first Formula One race of 2007 is getting closer with every passing day.

I was just browsing over at F1Technical and found this great article.
It’s well worth a look if you want to see how this change is supposed to make it easier to overtake in 2008.
It does make the cars look kinda funny though. Anyway, give it a look if you are interested in such things.

It would appear the Jacques has been unable to raise the $18 Million he needed from sponsors to break into the NASCAR series.

Jacques is apparently looking for some other way to break into NASCAR now that this plan has failed. I can’t help but wonder why an F1 Pilot is trying to “break into” NASCAR. I still think it is a huge step down from F1 to NASCAR. I know the money may be in NASCAR but I just don’t think that you can really compare the skills and talent needed for NASCAR to that needed for Formula One. For one thing, F1 drivers have to turn left and right.

It looks like Senna, that is to say Bruno Senna, Ayrton’s nephew, is working his way toward an F1 Seat for 2008. The Toro Rosso team, owned in part by longtime friend Gerhard Berger, is just one possibility for this youngster as he moves up to GP2, the Formula One feeder series.

Bruno Senna makes it clear that sharing the name of the great Ayrton Senna has been both a help and a hindrance in his career so far. He is also quite clear that Toro Rosso is not the only possibility for his F1 debut. Bruno wants to be sure he is of interest to many F1 teams and not just Gerhard Burger’s team.
