Kubica fearing for lack of f-duct

Robert Kubica worries that he and Renault may have to suffer a struggle in Germany as the team continues to develop its latest features, most notably the f-duct; not being able to use such a part at present, he believes he could be forced to jettison lap times due to consequent alterations in other areas.

Driver management company Gravity Sport has confirmed that ex Renault Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean will return to GP2 as he replaces Jérôme D’Ambrosio in Germany this weekend. The Anglo-Swiss driver, in subbing for the Belgian, therefore becomes team-mate to Dutch-Chinese protégé Ho-Pin Tung at DAMS.

Vergne tops Snetterton test session

Championship leader Jean-Eric Vergne led the way as testing came to a close at Snetterton on Tuesday afternoon. The French Carlin driver achieved a best effort of 1:01.935 at the Quidenham circuit, just 67 thousandths of a second quicker than Hitech’s Gabriel Dias as his team-mate and leading Briton William Buller completed the top three.
