Lotus car to debut in February

The Lotus team has confirmed to GPUpdate.net that its car will make a track debut at the Jerez test in mid-February. The famous team name returns to Formula 1 this year for the first time since 1994 and, with Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen at the wheel, aims to finish the campaign best of the sport's four new teams.

Tony Fernandes is convinced that Formula 1's recent loss of three significant car manufacturers will not damage the sport.
