Alonso quickest as Bourdais wrecks new Toro Rosso
Sebastien Bourdais wrecks Toro Rosso's new car on its maiden appearance during testing in Spain.
Adrian Sutil has brought the Force India Formula One Team's pre-Spanish Grand Prix to a close today at the Circuit de Catalunya. The team once more finished high up the classifications, with Adrian recording the third quickest time of the day on slicks.
Jarno Trulli took over driving duties for Toyota for the third day of this week's test at Barcelona. Trulli spent most of the day working on the TF108's new aerodynamic parts along with set-up for next week's Spanish Grand Prix. He also carried out work on dampers and suspension, interrupted only by a gearbox control issue before lunch. Jarno will return tomorrow for the last day.
Fernando Alonso remained in the Renault for his second day of running this week and completed a busy programme of set-up work before taking the opportunity to sample slick tyres just before lunch. The Spaniard immediately set the fastest time which remained unbeaten until the conclusion of the session.
Under-fire FIA president Max Mosley will miss next weekend's Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona to attend the Jordan Rally.
