Renault made the most of beautiful conditions throughout the day to begin its preparations for the Spanish Grand Prix in two weeks time. Nelson Piquet was on driving duty today as the team experimented with several upgrades to the R28. The young Brazilian spent the day evaluating the changes to the car, and completed some general set-up work in preparation for the Spanish Grand Prix.

Massa sets a slick pace at Barcelona

Tonio Liuzzi today completed testing duties for the Force India Formula One Team on the first day of its three-day test at the Circuit de Catalunya, Spain. After three long haul races kicked off the season, today was the first time the team had tested at a European track since February this year, when the VJM01 made its track debut.

With the first three flyaway races of 2008 completed, Toyota returned to European action today with testing at the Circuit de Catalunya. Timo Glock was in the driving seat for Toyota as the team began preparations for the Spanish Grand Prix here on April 27. 

Ferrari driver Felipe Massa completed an amazing fastest lap at Circuit de Catalunya on Monday. The Brazilian completed his fastest lap with slicks in 1,18,339, almost three seconds ahead of Honda test driver Alexander Wurz and the rest of the field. Ferrari furthermore introduced a new radical front wing in Spain.
