GPDA's silence is deafening

Fernando Alonso was realistic about where Renault stands in the current F1 order after a hard fought drive earned him nothing more than eighth and a single point in the Malaysian Grand Prix.

BMW motorsport director Mario Theissen says he believes his team can still achieve its original goal for 2008 - winning its maiden Grand Prix after finishing both the first two rounds in second place. 

Oliver Turvey has won race 1 at Oulton Park on Monday morning. The young Briton finished just ahead of Max Chilton and Atte Mustonen. Pole position man Jaime Alguersuari failed to finish the race. In the national class Carlin driver Andy Meyrick won the first race of the season, making it a double for Carlin Motorsport on Monday morning.

Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali was understandably delighted with the team's performance after Kimi Raikkonen's win in Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix at Kuala Lumpur.

Spain is where it is all at, vows Dennis

McLaren team boss Ron Dennis emplored observers not to judge his team's absolute performance level or its chances of fighting for the championship after his two drivers finished third and fifth in the Malaysian Grand Prix.

At the end of the Malaysian GP in which Kimi Raikkonen claimed his and Ferrari's first win of the season, team President Luca di Montezemolo declared his delight.
