Giancarlo Fisichella and Adrian Sutil brought the debut test of the Force India Formula One Team's new aero package to an end today at the Circuit de Catalunya, Spain. Again the team's performance over the day was encouraging, with Giancarlo posting the 12th time of the day and Adrian the 16th.

McLaren staff in the UK were questioned today as part of the ongoing Italian investigation into last season's spy scandal. The investigation in Italy continues despite the FIA ending its own investigation at the end of last year.

Trulli quickest on final day

Jarno Trulli completed the fastest lap on the last day of testing before the start of the 2008 Formula 1 season. The Italian Toyota driver clocked his fastest time at 1.20.801. He was well ahead of David Coulthard, who returned after a neck injury, and Nico Rosberg.

According to Renault's F1 team boss Flavio Briatore the team should be able to fight for places on the podium in the upcoming Formula One season. In 2007 the team managed to finish on the podium just once when Heikki Kovalainen finished second in the Japanese Grand Prix.

Alonso is confident that the new Renault will be quick, but admits time is short.

Having recovered from his neck problem, Coulthard resumed testing in Spain today.

Renault boss Flavio Briatore believes the animosity between Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton will fade away now that they are driving for different teams.

Jarno Trulli was a happy man after Toyota finally got a good day of running in better weather conditions at Barcelona on Tuesday. The veteran racer was testing a major new aero package upgrade for the TF108 and was very positive.
