McLaren's three day session in Jerez drew to a close on Thursday, with weather conditions in the morning more favourable. The team continued the aerodynamic programme for the week. In addition Kovalainen spent some time in the morning conducting simulated qualifying runs, to further understand the handling of the MP4-23 in all race weekend situations.

Super Aguri concluded its test in Jerez on Thursday with Anthony Davidson taking over the final driving duties. It was Anthony's first time back in the car since December 2007 and he quickly acclimatised himself to the circuit and new 2008 electronics systems. He worked through a structured programme of chassis and aero tests, combined with control system performance evaluations; including race starts. The SAF1 Team now move on to Barcelona for the test next week, where wet weather conditions are forecast.
