Toyota got its first test of a double-header in Bahrain underway with Timo Glock and Kamui Kobayashi behind the wheel of two TF108s on a sunny and mild day in the Middle East. The main item on the agenda for Timo was to continue to develop the set-up after solid progress in the last test at Valencia established a strong baseline.

The Circuit de Catalunya issued a statement where it says it will do all it can to prevent mad fans from misbehaving at its track. The FIA said earlier today it demands a clarification from the circuit how this could happen and how the track will prevent racists fans to enter the track in the future.

The Renault Formula 1 team has signed Sakon Yamamoto as the team's test development driver the team announced on Monday morning. The 25 year-old from Japan has made 14 Grand Prix starts so far in his career, with Super Aguri and Spyker. His best finish was P12 in last year's rain-soaked Japanese Grand Prix at Fuji Speedway.
